Reagent for prenylation
tert-Butyl 1,1-dimethylallyl carbonate is a prenylation reagent. It is capable of effective prenylation of alcohols and amines. The reagent enables a scalable and efficient approach for synthesizing N-reverse prenylated indoles, offering a straightforward alternative to multistep or catalyst-heavy methods. This methodology is effective for nonactivated indoles, tolerating a wide variety of functional groups, including halogens, esters, and nitro groups1.
