Reagent for deoxyfluorination

SulfoxFluor

N-tosyl-4-chlorobenzenesulfonimidoyl fluoride (SulfoxFluor) is a reagent used for the selective deoxyfluorination of alcohols1. It fluorinates sterically hindered alcoholic hydroxyl groups and exhibits high fluorination/elimination selectivity2. SulfoxFluor tolerates various functional groups and is superior in fluorination rate and fluorine economy compared to other reagents, like PyFluor or PBSF. The reaction with the SulfoxFluor proceeds under mild conditions, making it an efficient and easy-to-handle reagent.

Synonyms: N-tosyl-4-chlorobenzenesulfonimidoyl fluoride; 4-chloro-N-[(4-methylphenyl)sulfonyl]benzenesulfonimidoyl fluoride; SulfoxFluor
