Precursor of deuterodiazomethane for labelling

N-Methyl-d3-N-nitroso-p-toluenesulfonamide is a reagent that easily yields deuterodiazomethane for synthetic purposes1. t is a bench-stable pale yellow powder, soluble in petroleum ether, ether, benzene, alcohol, CHCl3, and CCl4. The generating deuterodiazomethane procedure involves reagent decomposition in a dilute solution catalyzed by an alkali hydroxide.
Synonyms: Diazald-(N-methyl-d3), Diazald-d3
