Wittig reagent for vinyl isocyanides synthesis

Isocyanomethyltriphenylphosphonium chloride is a Wittig reagent used for the Z-selective synthesis of vinyl isocyanides from aldehydes1,2. It enables regio- and stereoselective isocyanovinylation, producing key intermediates for heterocyclic synthesis. Air- and bench-stable, it is a scalable and efficient tool for isocyanide synthesis in medicinal chemistry and material science.
Synonyms: (isocyanomethyl)triphenylphosphonium chloride; isocyanomethyltriphenylphosphonium chloride; (isocyanomethyl)triphenylphosphanium chloride
