4-(4,6-Dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-4-methylmorpholinium chloride (DMTMM) is a multi-faceted condensing reagent used to form amide, ester, and glycosidic bonds via a formation of "superactive esters"¹. It is effective in aqueous and alcoholic solvents, particularly with biorelevant molecules like saccharides, nucleotides, and peptides. DMTMM is suitable for peptide synthesis in solution and solid-phase, offering low racemization. It is a white, nonhygroscopic, and shelf-stable solid, slightly soluble in acetonitrile and DMSO.
