Reagent for condensation and peptide synthesis

DMTMM

4-(4,6-Dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-4-methylmorpholinium chloride (DMTMM) is a multi-faceted condensing reagent used to form amide, ester, and glycosidic bonds via a formation of "superactive esters"1. It is effective in aqueous and alcoholic solvents, particularly with biorelevant molecules like saccharides, nucleotides, and peptides. DMTMM is suitable for peptide synthesis in solution and solid-phase, offering low racemization. It is a white, nonhygroscopic, and shelf-stable solid, slightly soluble in acetonitrile and DMSO.
