Reagent for phosphorylation and alkylation

Di-tert-butyl chloromethyl phosphate is a phosphorylating and alkylating agent commonly used for alcohols and nitrogen-containing heterocycles modification to improve aqueous solubility1. It enables the O- and N-alkylation of alcohols and heterocycles respectively, with applications spanning from medicinal chemistry to synthesizing complex organic molecules. The reagent is a colorless viscous liquid, soluble in water, toluene, dichloromethane, etc.
