Reagent for synthesizing diazo compounds
2-(2-Tosylhydrazono)acetyl chloride is a reagent for synthesizing diazo compounds, including α-diazo amides, under mild and efficient conditions1. It enables high-yield acylation and elimination reactions without the need for complex catalysts. The reagent is particularly valuable for cyclopropanation, ylide formation, and metal-catalyzed carbenoid chemistry applications. The compatibility with a wide range of functional groups makes it ideal for functionalizing complex substrates.
