Reagent for deoxyfluorination
Morpholinosulfur trifluoride (Morph DAST) is an upgrade of the DAST fluorination reagent with higher reactivity1. As a result, Morph DAST performs well in situations of hindered substrates, e.g. tertiary alcohols, hindered ketones, etc. In all other aspects, the new reagent is similar to DAST but preferred because of its better thermal stability. Due to the reagent's higher activity, the reaction performs with better yields, but the process needs to be handled carefully.
Synonyms: morpholinosulfur trifluoride; morpholinosulfurtrifluoride; morph-DAST; 4-(trifluoro-lambda4-sulfanyl)morpholine
